If you have followed this blog for any time at all, then you know how much I love Energy Bits and Recovery Bits. Yes, they help me to have sustained energy throughout my day, give me power for my workouts, and are great to tide me over til my next meal. But they are also great for the entire family.

This last school year was the first year we took Energy Bits on a regular basis. I give my E 3-5 bits and it has not only cleared up his eczema but my entire family of four was stomach bug FREE the entire school year.  I think that alone is reason enough to be Powered by Bits, right? For me, nothing is worse than dealing with the ickiness of stomach issues so the fact that we have been over a year without...any of that...is great!

L and E  play baseball, which means lots of time out in the heat. I do not like giving them sugary sports drinks but I know that they need to take in extra source of electrolytes and nutrients. Giving them 3-5 Energy Bits with a tall glass of water helps them to stay healthily hydrated!

As a mom, there are some days that seem to go on forever. School, sports, dance and then home to make dinner, clean the house and get everyone in bed. Around 5 pm I tend to hit a slump where I feel like I can't push on. 10-15 Energy Bits and I am ready to tackle the rest of the day and know that my health is better for it as well.

When one of my kids comes home with the sniffles or even if I hear that one of their friends is sick, we all take Recovery Bits. In addition to being blarf free this school year we also escaped with no strep throat, no fevers and no trips to the doctor for antibiotics. Hooray!

Energy Bits are spirulina algae. This fast-digesting plant provides ten times the amount of protein than a beef steak, is packed with antioxidants and B vitamins along with over 40 nutrients like iron and calcium. For a complete list of nutrients along with tons of info, click here.

Recovery Bits are chlorella algae. It helps to build the immune system, promotes cellular health and aids the body in reducing and flushing out toxins. Great for when you are around sick people, traveling, indulged a little too much in food or drink, or just as a daily supplement. It also helps with digestion issues like IBS! 1. Wow! They sound great. Almost too good to be true! It's funny, I headed on to their website planning to choose which bit I'm most interested in trying and I got there and I honestly can not decide! I've heard your great recommendations about energy bits and recovery bits, and definitely want to try those. But while perusing energybits.com, I came across skinny bits and those just sound like bits after my own heart. ;-) Thank you for all the knowledgable info you've shared about this product. It was informative and a really interesting read.

  2. Energy bits! With a new baby coming in two week, I have a feeling I'll need a natural pick-me-up. As a teacher and with the new school year approaching, I'll need something to make it trough the day!

  4. I've heard a lot about spirulina, and Energy Bits sounds like a great way to try it! Though, I love a good recovery aid too, so either would be great.

I love them both, too. Spirulina seems to be the rockstar of the algae world, but chlorella is just as awesome :)
